Spanish professional football club Real Madrid has reportedly shortlisted three strikers, Marcus Thuram, Rasmus Hojlund, and Victor Osimhen, to sign as they prepare for life after veteran attacker Karim Benzema.
According to Spanish outlet Fichajes, the team is preparing for the post-Benzema era and has already prepared a three-man shortlist for the centre-forward position, with Thuram, Hojlund and Osimhen populating it.
Thuram is set to become a free agent in June 2023. The Borussia Monchengladbach star has thus far featured in 132 games for the German club since joining them in 2019, scoring 44 times and providing 28 assists.
Hojlund is another player Real Madrid is reportedly keeping an eye on, with him impressing the Los Blancos with his ability to score as well as create chances. The Atalanta star, whose contract will expire in 2027, has scored 14 times and registered six assists in 38 games this season in all competitions for his club.
Osimhen is the third name on the shortlist. The Nigerian international has scored 26 goals in 33 Serie A games this season for Napoli and he is the leading scorer in the Serie A.
