Manchester City are reportedly set to finalize the signing of Erling Haaland from Borussia Dortmund.
The last few weeks have seen English club pull past Real Madrid and Bayern Munich in the race to sign the 21 year old, and he will now wear the sky-blue City shirt that his father wore during his playing days.
According to The Athletic, Haaland's move to the Etihad Stadium is a done dealand it should be finalized this week.
Personal terms between Manchester City and Haaland were agreed in April, and this cleared the way for discussion between the clubs.
City are set to inform Borussia Dortmund that they will pay the fee that is mandated to activate the release clause in the striker's contract, which is a documented €75 million (£63 million).
Should the circumstance proceed as all parties expect Haaland will be announced as a Manchester City player this week and will then join up with his side for their pre-season preparations.
Haaland started his career at Bryne and Molde in his native Norway, and then spent a year at Red Bull Salzburg.
He joined Dortmund in January 2020 and has scored 85 goals in 88 appearances for the Bundesliga outfit.
Haaland has enticed strong interest from a host of top European clubs, such as Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain.
Nevertheless, he is set to move to Manchester City to join up with Pep Guardiola's squad ahead of the 2022/23 season.
