Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State has signed the 2022 appropriation budget into law.
Abiodun signed the bill into law after the clean copy passed by the House of Assembly was presented to him by the Speaker, Olakunle Oluomo and other lawmakers on Wednesday evening.
According to a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Kunle Somorin, the appropriation bill passed by the House of Assembly was the exact figure of N350,735,149,739.57 contained in the State 2022 budget.
However, Somorin said there were adjustments in some capital and recurrent estimates of about 182 agencies.
While signing the bill on Wednesday evening at his Oke Mosan office, Governor Abiodun appreciated the lawmakers for the speedy and thorough passage of the bill.
The Governor assured Ogun people of his determination to put machinery in place towards ensuring optimum performance of the budget.
He stated further that his administration would continue to espouse projects that will positively affect the State’s socio-economic activities.
He pleaded for the continuous support of the House so that his administration could continue to deliver on its electoral promises.
