The President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari, has left the Presidential Villa, Abuja to the Presidential Wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport where he’ll jet off to Maiduguri, the Borno State Capital.
According to our correspondent, Buhari’s chopper left the Aso Rock premises at exactly 10:04 am on Thursday.
The President is visiting Maiduguri to commission multiple projects embarked upon and completed by the Borno State Governor, Professor Babagana Zulum.
The Punch had reported on Tuesday that Governor Zulum said President Buhari has greatly supported Borno State and made sacrifices so that the people can live in peace, harmony, and progress.
He said Buhari had spent more than $50m to generate stable and sustainable power and energy for the people of Borno State.
Meanwhile, as the President is en route to Maiduguri, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo is currently presiding over an Extraordinary Federal Executive Council meeting at the Council Chambers.
