Manchester United are closing in on a deal to bring Jadon Sancho to Old Trafford.
Negotiations with Borussia Dortmund are in the final stages and the England international could soon be on his way to Old Trafford after a year-long pursuit.
And United's chances of securing the 21-year-old may have just been boosted by the news that Dortmund are reportedly close to agreeing a deal for Noni Madueke, according to the Telegraph.
Should Dortmund secure the 18-year-old winger from PSV Eindhoven, Sancho's path to United will likely be even clearer.
Madueke is a fellow England youth international who has caught the eye for PSV after making the move from Tottenham.
Madueke scored nine goals and registered eight assists in 32 games for the club, and it's easy to see why Dortmund view him as a direct replacement for Sancho with the PSV winger possessing similar characteristics in terms of his vision and dribbling ability.
Madueke has history with Man Utd too, the teenager turned down the Reds back in 2017 in favour of a switch to PSV.
United have been tentatively linked with a move for his services since, but for now the focus will be on Sancho.
The England international is yet to make his mark at this summer's Euro 2020 but is regarded as one of the hottest young prospects in world football.
After a stellar three seasons in Germany, Sancho is undoubtedly ready for the next step in his development and he looks tailor-made for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer 's side.
When Man Utd are able to confirm the deal may depend on how far Sancho and England get to at Euro 2020.
With a hefty price-tag, United will be hoping the wait is well worth their time Manchester Evening News gathered.
