Bandit Kidnap Village Head, Four Others In Ebonyi
Bandit in army uniform stormed Oshiagu Amia Ngbo in Umuogudu Akpu Ngbo Community of Ohaukwu Local Government Area of Ebonyi State and kidnapped the village head, Deacon John Ulebe Nnaji.
Four different people had been kidnapped along the village head.
Many have been injured in the assault on Thursday afternoon.
A member of the community, who does now no longer want his name in print, disclosed that they had been seated on the village square, whilst the bandit, who had been on motorcycles, stormed the area and kidnapped the 5 people.
He stated, "We suspected nothing due to the fact they had been wearing army uniform.
"All of a sudden, we heard gunshots and people commenced running for safety."
He added that some of the villagers have been robbed in their belonging at some point of the assault.
The police in the state stated they have been investigating the matter.
