The Oyo State government has acquired 127,740 doses of Oxford AstraZeneca coronavirus vaccine from the Federal Government.


The Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Taiwo Adisa, who disclosed this in a announcement on Thursday night, stated the vaccines have been obtained via the Oyo State Primary Healthcare Board in Ibadan.


According to him, the delivery as the first batch of the coronavirus vaccines expected from the federal government.


Adisa stated, "The vaccines have been acquired in proper circumstance and were saved in suitable cold rooms. The state has very robust cold rooms and we can't even deplete to one-0.33 of the capacity."


He additionally disclosed that the state government had started out the training of medical examiners who might administer the vaccines to residents.
