Governor Mohammed Matawalle vows to apprehend sponsors of banditry in Zamfara
The Governor of Zamfara State, Bello Mohammed Matawalle has vowed that he would apprehend any politician who enters the state with the aim to use thugs to ferment trouble.
According to him, there's no person that may claim to be above the regulation of the land, vowing that he had drawn a war line with the enemies of peace in the State.
Matawalle disclosed this on the Government House in Gusau, the nation capital while the Nigeria Governors’ Forum’s delegation led via Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti State visited him over the discharge of 279 school girls in Zamfara State abducted remaining Friday.
"These power drunk politicians can not live in Abuja, Kaduna or everywhere in Nigeria and be instigating disaster and be sponsoring terrorism within the state, killing lots of guiltless residents of the state for egocentric interest," he warned.
Matawalle recommended that no one is a sacred cow or untouchable, stressing that he's now in charge of the affairs of Zamfara State, testing any of the politicians to dare him and spot the consequences.
It may be recalled that on Sunday while the Federal Government delegation visited him on the Government House, the governor stated that many humans would be amazed whilst the sponsors of banditry would be exposed.
The governor maintained that many outstanding personalities have been solidly at the back of banditry in the State and that their sins could quickly locate them out.
