A group of youths have been spot leaping on supermarket transport van in Newport


Large group of youths reportedly steal food from delivery van in Newport


GWENT Police are appealing for report after a group of round 20 and 30 youths have been spot leaping on a supermarket transport van.


Police obtained a report of a disturbance in Arthur Bliss Road, within the Alway area of Newport, at round 6.05pm on Friday, March 19.


A wide variety of youths, reportedly a set of among 20 and 30, had been spot leaping on an Iceland transport van, which had stopped within the area.


Food become reportedly taken from the van. However, the driver of the van become now no longer injured and departed the location at round 6.10pm.


Temporary Assistant Chief Constable Ian Roberts stated: "This behaviour is absolutely unacceptable, and we are able to be contacting the enterprise operator as a part of our enquiries. We could be reviewing CCTV from the vicinity on the time of this incident."


"Anyone pinpoint as committing an act of anti-social behaviour, or another offence, for the duration of this incident will be prosecuted."


"Anti-social behaviour negatively affects upon the quality of lifestyles for residents. It isn't always proper inside our communities, and it isn't always suited for members of the general public to behave on this manner to a person who turned into simply doing their job.
