Argentina just became the largest country in Latin America to legalize abortions after years of advocacy from women's rights groups.
"It changes everything for millions of women," said Lola, an Argentine citizen.
Crowds celebrated and cried tears of joy after Argentina's Senate passed the bill by 38 to 29 votes – despite objections from anti-abortion groups and the Catholic Church.
"I am the mother of a girl, and I know that she will have more rights tomorrow. And that keeps us moving forward," said Renata Vismara, an abortion rights advocate.
In Latin America, abortion is only legal in Uruguay, Cuba, parts of Mexico, the Antilles and French Guiana.
