PAPERS: Fati and Pedri are Barcelona’s golden boys

This morning, the Catalan papers have been extremely busy. Barcelona are returning to La Liga action this weekend and with the past couple of days being full of different occasions, good and bad, the news mill has been going non stop.
Mundo Deportivo say the Azulgranas held a minute of silence during their training session for the late Diego Armando Maradona. It was a sign of respect and remembrance for an icon of world football.
Of course, it was also a highly emotional moment for everyone, considering he was, apart from being one of the main protagonists of the sport on the planet, an ex-Barcelona player as well. On top of that, Maradona was also Lionel Messi’s countryman, which made it that much more difficult for Leo.
SPORT, on the other hand, have moved past that and are focusing specifically on the Blaugrana team. This morning, Ansu Fati and Pedri are the stars of their cover.
The local outlet is suggesting that both of the Barcelona golden boys are the envy of the whole of Europe. Of course, the reason behind that is simple – among the players of their age, they are by far the most valuable assets in world football.
At the moment, as SPORT state, Fati is worth a whooping €80M while Pedri’s price has skyrocketed as well and is now at €30M.
It goes without saying, however, that Barcelona would never even consider parting ways with either of their biggest jewels.
