Manchester United are keen on a summer move for Douglas Costa, according to reports.

The Juventus winger is apparently unwanted by new boss Andrea Pirlo in Turin, leading to the inevitable resurfacing links to United.

However, journalist Gianluca Di Marzio goes as far as saying United have spoken to Costa's agents, after Sky Sports reported the supposed interest as a viable alternative to Jadon Sancho this summer.

Di Marzio says Costa's agents approached United to gauge any interest, rather than the other way round, but the club are concerned about his injury record.

Other reports coming from Italy suggest United are also interested in Juventus' Alex Sandro.

Meanwhile, Sheffield United are considering making an approach to take Dean Henderson on loan for a third season, ESPN report.

The Blades have had a bid accepted for Bournemouth keeper Aaron Ramsdale, according to widespread reports, but this latest development would suggest they are hopeful of keeping Henderson for another year.

The report adds Henderson wants a year of regular football to strengthen his chances of playing for England in the rescheduled Euro 2020 tournament next summer.

Finally, United are named as an interested party in Bayern Munich defender David Alaba, according to Sky Sports News.

They report that Alaba could be a Premier League player within two weeks with United one of the three interested clubs named in the article.

Man City have been linked with Alaba, especially during negotiations that saw Leroy Sane join Bayern Munich, and now United and Chelsea are also named as interested parties.

It's said Alaba will start Bayern's Champions League quarter final this week and made a decision on his future once their season is over, but he's already rejected an offer of a €15m-a-year deal.
